Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce, tomato, and cucumber slices for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are combined, being careful not to overmix.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick. You can create a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Patties: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties (in batches if necessary) and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Toast the Buns (optional): If desired, toast the whole wheat buns in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers: Place a cooked turkey patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber slices. Add the top half of the bun.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve your delicious Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers warm with your choice of side, such as sweet potato fries or a refreshing salad!
