Ingredients

2 lbs beef chuck, cut into bite-sized cubes

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 head garlic, minced (about 10 cloves)

1 medium onion, diced

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp dried Italian herbs (or fresh, if available)

1 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Beef: Season the beef cubes with salt and pepper. This helps to bring out the flavors as they cook.

Sear the Beef (Optional): In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the beef cubes in batches, searing them on all sides for about 2-3 minutes until browned. This step adds extra depth of flavor, but you can skip it if you're short on time.

Load the Slow Cooker: Transfer the seared beef cubes to the slow cooker. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried Italian herbs, and smoked paprika. Toss everything together until the beef is well coated.

Add the Butter: Cut the remaining butter into small pieces and scatter it on top of the beef mixture within the slow cooker.

Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender and flavorful.

Serve: Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve the beef bites warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley, over rice, mashed potatoes, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce.
