Ingredients

2 ripe avocados

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup maple syrup (or honey for non-vegan option)

1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of sea salt

Optional toppings: shaved dark chocolate, berries, or coconut whipped cream

Instructions

Prepare the Avocados: Start by cutting the avocados in half, removing the pits, and scooping the flesh into a blender or food processor.

Blend the Ingredients: Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to the blender.

Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed until it is completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated.

Adjust Sweetness: Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness if desired by adding more maple syrup or honey, and blend again for a few seconds to combine.

Chill the Mousse: Spoon the mousse into individual serving dishes or ramekins. Cover them with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to chill and firm up.

Serve and Garnish: Once chilled, take the mousse out and give it a quick stir. Serve chilled and add your choice of toppings such as shaved dark chocolate, fresh berries, or a dollop of coconut whipped cream for an extra indulgent touch!
