Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup finely chopped mushrooms (any variety)

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp soy sauce

Salt and black pepper to taste

8 slices Swiss cheese

12 slider buns

2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped (optional for garnish)

1/4 cup mayonnaise (for spreading on buns)

1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Mushroom Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the chopped onions and garlic, sautéing until they are translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the Mushrooms: Stir in the chopped mushrooms and cook until they are soft and their moisture has evaporated, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Form the Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooled mushroom mixture, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and season with salt and black pepper. Mix until just combined. Form into 12 equal-sized patties.

Cook the Patties: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until browned and cooked through.

Add the Cheese: While the sliders are still in the skillet, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty. Cover the skillet with a lid for a minute or two until the cheese is melted.

Toast the Buns: While the cheese is melting, split the slider buns and toast them lightly on a separate skillet or under a broiler until golden brown.

Assemble the Sliders: Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard (if using) on the bottom half of each bun. Place a cheese-covered patty on each bun, followed by the top half of the bun.

Garnish and Serve: If desired, sprinkle fresh thyme on top for extra flavor. Arrange the sliders on a serving platter and enjoy immediately!
