1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 cup Rolo candies (unwrapped)

Sea salt flakes (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

    Melt Butter and Sugar: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove it from the heat and stir in the granulated sugar until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.

      Mix Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly mixed.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

          Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed within the batter.

            Layer with Rolos: Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the unwrapped Rolo candies over this layer, ensuring they are well distributed. Then, pour the remaining brownie batter over the Rolos and smooth it out.
