Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

4 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the flank steak, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Blanch the Broccoli: In a pot of boiling water, blanch the broccoli florets for 2 minutes until bright green. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

Stir-Fry the Beef: Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat and add vegetable oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the onion and sauté for 1-2 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

Combine Ingredients: Add the blanched broccoli back into the skillet along with the cooked beef. Pour the sauce over the mixture and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and the sauce thickens slightly.

Finish with Sesame Oil: Drizzle the sesame oil over the stir-fry for added flavor and toss to combine. Remove from heat.

Serve: Spoon the beef and broccoli mixture over cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy your quick and delicious meal!
