Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), at room temperature

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips for topping or mixed in

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later. Lightly grease the paper with butter or cooking spray.

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the room temperature unsalted butter and peanut butter. Use an electric mixer or a sturdy spatula to mix until smooth and creamy.

Add Sugar and Flavor: Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed (or stirring) until fully incorporated. This may take a moment as the mixture will be thick. Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing until the fudge mixture is well combined and smooth.

Optional Chocolate Addition: If you want to include chocolate chips, fold them into the fudge mixture at this stage, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

Transfer to Pan: Spoon the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan. Press down evenly with a spatula or your hands to create a smooth and even surface.

Chill: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until completely set. For an extra touch, melt some additional chocolate chips, drizzle over the top, and let it set again in the fridge.

Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares or rectangles of your desired size. Enjoy your decadent treat!
