Ingredients

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1/2 cup ranch dressing

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup green onions, sliced (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Biscuit Dough: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your hands and set aside.

Make Chicken Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the chicken is fully coated.

Assemble Melts: On each flattened biscuit, place about 1 to 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture in the center. If desired, sprinkle a little green onion on top of the chicken filling.

Seal the Biscuits: Carefully fold the biscuit over the filling and pinch the edges to seal. You want to create a small pocket with the filling inside.

Apply Egg Wash: In a small bowl, whisk the egg and brush the mixture over the top of each biscuit pocket. This will give them a nice golden color as they bake.

Bake: Place the filled biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are puffed and golden brown.

Add Cheese: Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately sprinkle cheese on top. Place back in the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Brush with Butter: Once out of the oven, brush the tops with melted butter for extra flavor and shine.

Serve: Let them cool slightly, then serve warm with extra ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
