4 large turkey legs

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon sea salt

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted butter, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, black pepper, and sea salt until well combined.

    Marinate the Turkey Legs: Place the turkey legs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the turkey legs, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for the best flavor.

      Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.

        Prepare for Roasting: Remove the turkey legs from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later use. Place the legs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet.

          Roast the Turkey Legs: Roast the turkey legs in the preheated oven for 1 hour. After 30 minutes, baste the legs with the reserved marinade to enhance the flavor and moisture.

            Glaze the Legs: After one hour of roasting, remove the turkey legs from the oven and brush them with additional maple syrup. Return the turkey to the oven and roast for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is caramelized and crispy.

              Serve: Once cooked, remove the turkey legs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
