1 cup jasmine rice

1 cup coconut milk

1/2 cup water

Prepare the Coconut Rice:

    - Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

      - In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and sugar (if using). Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.

        - Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 15-18 minutes or until the rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid.
