Ingredients

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

¼ cup honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, finely sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes, about 1-2 inches in size. Place them in a medium bowl.

Season the Salmon: Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon cubes. Sprinkle garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes over the salmon. Gently toss to coat all the pieces evenly with the spice mix.

Make Hot Honey Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes. Stir well and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

Bake the Salmon: Arrange the seasoned salmon bites on the prepared baking tray in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Glaze the Salmon: Once the salmon is done baking, remove it from the oven and drizzle the hot honey sauce over the bites while they're still warm. Gently toss to ensure all pieces are coated.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer the hot honey salmon bites to a serving platter. Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the top for added flavor and presentation.

Enjoy: Serve immediately as an appetizer or a main dish alongside rice or a fresh salad.
