Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

4 medium russet potatoes, diced

1 medium onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ cup beef broth

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup frozen peas

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by peeling and dicing the potatoes into small cubes to ensure they cook evenly. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.

Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Sauté Onions and Garlic: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent and aromatic.

Add Spices and Potatoes: Stir in the smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Add the diced potatoes to the skillet, mixing well to coat them in the beef mixture.

Incorporate Beef Broth: Pour in the beef broth, covering the potatoes partly. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cover the skillet with a lid, allowing the potatoes to cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If needed, add a splash more broth to prevent sticking.

Add Peas: Once the potatoes are fork-tender, stir in the frozen peas. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until the peas are heated through.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy the comforting flavors of this one-pan dish!
