1 cup long-grain white rice

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups vegetable or chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Rinse the Rice: Begin by rinsing the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps to remove excess starch and ensures a fluffier texture once cooked.

    Sauté the Garlic: In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.

      Cook the Rice: Add the rice to the saucepan and stir well to coat the grains with the garlic and olive oil. Toast the rice for about 2-3 minutes, allowing it to absorb some of the garlic flavor.

        Add Broth and Seasonings: Pour in the vegetable or chicken broth and stir in the red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
