Ingredients

3 ripe bananas

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and place them in a mixing bowl. Mash the bananas with a fork until smooth and creamy with only a few chunks remaining.

Mix Ingredients: Add the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the mashed bananas. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

Add the Walnuts: Stir in the chopped walnuts and mini chocolate chips if using, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch (or a similar-sized) baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

Pour and Spread: Pour the banana yogurt mixture into the prepared dish. Use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly into the corners.

Freeze: Place the dish in the freezer and allow the mixture to freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until it is completely firm.

Cut into Bars: Once frozen, take the dish out of the freezer and lift the bars out using the overhanging parchment paper. Place on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to cut into desired bar sizes.

Serve: Allow the bars to sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before serving for easier handling. Enjoy your refreshing and nutritious frozen yogurt banana walnut bars!

Store Leftovers: If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the freezer, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
