Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1 cup dark chocolate chips (ensure they're dairy-free if needed)

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1/4 cup crunchy peanut butter (or almond butter for a twist)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

2 tablespoons chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or almonds, optional)

1 tablespoon shredded coconut (optional for a tropical touch)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Arrange the slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.

Add Peanut Butter: Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the peanut butter until you achieve a silky consistency. If the mixture seems too thick, you can add a little more coconut oil to thin it out.

Coat the Banana Slices: Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each banana slice into the chocolate-peanut butter mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated. Gently shake off any excess chocolate before placing it back on the baking sheet.

Sprinkle Toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over each coated banana bite. If adding, sprinkle chopped nuts and shredded coconut on top for extra texture.

Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate is set and firm.

Serve: Once frozen, you can transfer the banana bites to an airtight container to store or serve them right away. Enjoy your homemade frozen treats straight from the freezer – they're perfect for hot days!
