Ingredients

12 jumbo pasta shells

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup cooked ground turkey (seasoned with salt and pepper)

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 large egg

½ teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon dried basil

1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Pasta Shells: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and lay them flat on a baking sheet to cool slightly.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, ½ cup of mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup of Parmesan cheese, ground turkey, chopped spinach, minced garlic, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the Shells: Take each cooked pasta shell and carefully spoon the filling mixture into each shell, using about 2 tablespoons per shell. Place the stuffed shells seam-side up in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Add Marinara Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, making sure each shell is covered. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve warm.
