Ingredients

4 large flour tortillas

8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup crumbled bacon (cooked and crispy)

1/2 cup pickled jalapeños, chopped (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 large eggs, beaten

Cooking oil spray or oil for frying

Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well blended.

Assemble the Wraps: Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the jalapeño popper mixture onto the center of the tortilla. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll the bottom up tightly to form a wrap. Repeat this process for all tortillas.

Coat the Wraps: In one bowl, place the beaten eggs. In another bowl, spread out the panko breadcrumbs. Dip each wrap into the egg first, then roll it in the panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.

Fry the Wraps: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly spray with cooking oil. Once hot, place the wraps seam-side down in the pan, working in batches if necessary. Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Add more oil as needed to keep the wraps from sticking.

Drain and Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil. Once slightly cooled, slice them into bite-sized pieces.

Garnish and Enjoy: Arrange the crunchy jalapeño popper wraps on a serving platter. Garnish with fresh cilantro or green onions if desired. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or spicy aioli.
