Crockpot Creamy Chicken and Pea Pasta

1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 cups uncooked pasta (penne or fusilli work great)

1 cup frozen peas

1 medium onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken: Start by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

    Layer the Ingredients: In the bottom of the crockpot, layer the chopped onion first, followed by the seasoned chicken pieces. Then add the frozen peas on top.

      Mix the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning until well combined. Pour this mixture over the chicken and peas in the crockpot.

        Cook: Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

          Add the Pasta: About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the uncooked pasta. If the mixture appears too thick, add a little more chicken broth to help the pasta cook.
