Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for some heat)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss until the sprouts are evenly coated.

Open to Air: Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are cut side down for maximum crispiness.

Roast: Roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the pan and drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the Brussels sprouts. Toss gently and return to the oven.

Add Cheese: Roast for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy, checking occasionally. In the last 5 minutes, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts to melt and crisp up.

Garnish: Once their roasting is done, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and place them in a serving dish. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.

Serve: Enjoy your Crispy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts warm, either as a side dish or a delicious snack!
