12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

2 cups marinara sauce

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the tortellini: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions until they're al dente, usually around 3-4 minutes for fresh tortellini. Drain and set aside.

      Prepare the creamy sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the marinara sauce, heavy cream, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix well to create a creamy sauce.

        Combine: Gently fold the cooked tortellini into the creamy sauce mixture until well coated. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

          Transfer to baking dish: Pour the tortellini mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.

            Top the bake: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the tortellini.

              Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

                Garnish: Once done, let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
