Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)

Salt and pepper (to taste)

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

8 oz fettuccine pasta (or any pasta of your choice)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Season the Chicken: Sprinkle the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.

Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, scraping up any brown bits left behind from the chicken.

Add the Broccoli: Stir in the broccoli florets and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until they are tender but still vibrant in color.

Create the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir in Italian seasoning and bring to a slight boil.

Cook the Pasta: Add the fettuccine directly into the skillet, ensuring it's submerged in the liquid. Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked al dente and has absorbed most of the liquid.

Stir in Cheese: Reduce the heat, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Slice the Chicken: While the pasta is getting creamy, slice the rested chicken breasts into strips.

Combine and Serve: Add the sliced chicken back into the pan, gently tossing to combine everything. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Enjoy! Serve immediately while hot and creamy.
