8 oz penne pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced (such as cremini or button)

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Penne: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about half a cup of the pasta water.

    Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, until the chicken is golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and asparagus. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are browned and the asparagus is tender-crisp. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

        Make the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
