Ingredients

4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skinless

1 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried dill)

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

Lemon slices, for garnish

Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.

Make the creamy sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, chopped dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the salmon: Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Spoon the creamy lemon dill mixture generously over the fillets, ensuring they are well coated.

Bake the salmon: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Broil for a crispy top: For a golden finish, remove the foil during the last 5 minutes of baking or switch the oven to broil for 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.

Garnish and serve: Remove the salmon from the oven, garnish with lemon slices and fresh dill sprigs. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
