8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

Zest of 1 large lemon

Juice of 1 large lemon

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup fresh dill, chopped (reserve some for garnish)

Optional: 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

Optional: Freshly cracked black pepper for garnish

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions or until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

    Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

      Add Cream: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well, allowing it to warm up. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

        Incorporate Cheese: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and smooth. If the sauce becomes too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

          Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce in the skillet. Mix well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated in the creamy lemon dill sauce. Stir in the chopped dill and the cherry tomatoes if using.
