Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled, adjust to taste)

1/4 cup green onions, chopped

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for extra texture)

Olive oil, for frying

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C), preparing a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.

Mix the Meatball Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and breadcrumbs (if using). Mix until well combined, but be careful not to overmix.

Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, scoop out about 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the formed meatball on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until the mixture is used up, ensuring the meatballs are evenly spaced apart.

Sear the Meatballs (optional): For extra flavor, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil. Sear the meatballs on all sides until browned (about 5 minutes). This step is optional but adds great texture and flavor.

Bake the Meatballs: Transfer the raw or seared meatballs to the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are cooked through.

Serve and Enjoy: Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, on a sub with cheese, or over a bed of rice. Garnish with extra green onions or jalapeños for added flair.
