Ingredients

12 jumbo pasta shells

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup heavy cream

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat and Cook Pasta: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Prepare the Beef Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.

Season the Mixture: Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to meld the flavors. Remove from heat.

Mix in Cheeses: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, and all of the Parmesan cheese. Stir well until fully incorporated.

Stuff the Shells: Gently stuff each cooked jumbo shell with the beef and cheese mixture. Place the filled shells in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Create the Sauce: In a medium bowl, mix the marinara sauce with the heavy cream until smooth. Pour this creamy sauce evenly over the stuffed shells.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese on top of the dish.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
