1 ripe avocado

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1 garlic clove, minced

ΒΌ teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 slices of whole-grain bread

Fresh herbs (like cilantro or parsley), for garnish

Optional toppings: Sliced radishes, red pepper flakes, or a drizzle of balsamic glaze

Prepare the Chickpeas: In a medium-sized bowl, add the drained chickpeas. Using a fork or potato masher, roughly mash the chickpeas until they are mostly broken up but still have some texture.
