Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground turkey

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley for garnish

Optional: 1/4 cup marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Prepare the meatball mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Form the meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.

Sear the meatballs (optional): In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the meatballs for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned. This step adds extra flavor but can be skipped if you're short on time.

Bake the meatballs: Transfer the meatballs to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Prepare the garlic butter sauce: While the meatballs are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.

Coat the meatballs: Once the meatballs are done baking, remove them from the oven and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the top. Toss gently to coat the meatballs evenly in the buttery goodness.

Serve: Transfer the cheesy garlic butter turkey meatballs to a serving platter. Garnish with additional fresh parsley and serve warm, with marinara sauce on the side if desired.
