Ingredients

16 large cremini or portobello mushrooms

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup crab meat, drained and flaked (preferably lump crab)

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 green onions, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and carefully remove the stems. Set the caps aside and finely chop the stems.

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped green onions, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and the finely chopped mushroom stems. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Stuff the Mushrooms: Use a small spoon or a piping bag to fill each mushroom cap generously with the crab filling. If you like a bit of crunch on top, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the stuffed mushrooms.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the stuffed mushrooms on a greased baking sheet or an oven-safe dish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
