Ingredients

12 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin), cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (or to taste)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Salt to taste

Instructions

Cook the fettuccine pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Season the shrimp and steak: In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp with 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning. In another bowl, toss the steak pieces with the remaining Cajun seasoning.

Sear the steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the steak pieces and sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.

Cook the shrimp: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Alfredo sauce: Lower the heat to medium, and in the same skillet used for the shrimp and steak, pour in the heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is achieved.

Combine everything: Add the cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and steak back into the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Season with black pepper and adjust salt and Cajun seasoning to taste. If you like it spicier, sprinkle in the red pepper flakes.

Serve: Plate the pasta in bowls or on plates. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and additional flavor.
