Ingredients

2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup unsalted butter

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup marshmallow fluff

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

1/2 cup vanilla custard (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. Lightly grease the parchment with cooking spray or butter.

Make the Fudge Base: In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, heavy cream, and unsalted butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a gentle boil.

Cook the Mixture: Allow the mixture to boil for about 5 minutes without stirring. You want to reach a soft-ball stage (234°F or 112°C on a candy thermometer). This will create a smooth and creamy texture.

Add Chocolate and Marshmallow Fluff: Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, marshmallow fluff, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

Layer the Fudge: Pour half of the chocolate fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Add Custard Layer: Spoon the vanilla custard over the chocolate fudge layer, spreading it gently to avoid mixing it in too much.

Top with Remaining Fudge: Pour the remaining chocolate fudge mixture on top of the custard layer, spreading it out evenly.

Chill the Fudge: Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until the fudge is fully set.

Cut and Serve: Once set, remove the fudge from the pan using the overhang of the parchment paper. Dust the top with powdered sugar for a beautiful finish. Cut into small squares to serve.

Enjoy: Indulge in this rich and creamy Boston Cream Fudge that beautifully captures the flavors of the iconic dessert!
