2 ripe avocados

4 slices of whole grain or sourdough bread

1 medium lemon, juiced

1 clove garlic, finely minced

1 small red chili or a pinch of chili flakes (to taste)

1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (or a vegan alternative)

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Optional toppings: cherry tomatoes, radish slices, or poached eggs

Olive oil, for drizzling

Prepare the Avocado: Cut the ripe avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Add lemon juice, minced garlic, chili, salt, and black pepper. Use a fork to mash the avocado until desired creaminess is reached. Set aside.

    Toast the Bread: Heat a skillet or a toaster. If using a skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil and toast the bread slices on medium heat until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
