Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade if you prefer)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni (or veggie of your choice)

1/4 cup diced bell peppers

1/4 cup finely chopped onions

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Olive oil spray (for air frying)

1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish, optional)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: If using refrigerated pizza dough, roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. If you’re making your own dough, prepare it according to your recipe and then roll it out.

    Fill the Dough:

      - Cut the dough into squares, approximately 3x3 inches.

        - In a mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, and Italian seasoning. Mix until evenly combined.

          - Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough square.

            Seal the Rolls:

              - Fold the corners of the square dough over the filling to create a triangle or rectangle, depending on your preference.

                - Press the edges firmly together with your fingers to seal them. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch and to ensure they are well sealed.

                  Preheat the Air Fryer:

                    - Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.

                      Air Fry the Pizza Rolls:

                        - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.

                          - Place the pizza rolls in a single layer in the basket, making sure to leave space between them for air circulation. You may need to cook them in batches.

                            - Lightly spray the tops of the rolls with olive oil for that extra crispiness.

                              - Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. (Check halfway through and flip if needed for even cooking.)

                                Prepare the Marinara Sauce:

                                  - While the pizza rolls are cooking, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat or in the microwave for a few minutes until hot.

                                    Serve:

                                      - Once cooked, remove the pizza rolls from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute.

                                        - Serve them hot with marinara sauce on the side for dipping. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil leaves for an extra touch.
