8 oz (225 g) spaghetti (or pasta of your choice)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Extra grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente (usually around 8-10 minutes). Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water before draining.

    Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce: While the pasta cooks, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

      Add Cream: Pour the heavy cream into the skillet, stirring to combine with the garlic and butter. Allow it to simmer for about 2–3 minutes, letting it thicken slightly.

        Incorporate Cheese: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until it is fully melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little bit of the reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.

          Season the Sauce: Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary.

            Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta directly to the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together until the spaghetti is well coated with the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.
